Related issue: Resolves #57505

Changes the remaining GitOps errors in pkg/spec/gitops.go that still say "team" to say "fleet" (software package fields at the fleet level, fleet 'name' is required, failed to read fleet settings file, and 'custom_host_vitals' cannot be set on a fleet file). Follow-up to #56423.

Explain Change →

Walkthrough

GitOps error messages now use “fleet” instead of “team” for package placement, missing fleet names, settings-file read failures, and restrictions on custom_host_vitals. The related test expectations also use the updated terminology. Validation conditions and error propagation are unchanged.

Explanation

Docstring coverage is 33.33% which is insufficient. The required threshold is 80.00%. Docstring coverage is scoped to functions touched by this diff with cyclomatic complexity of at least 2. Documentation-only edits and deletions within surviving functions are included; unchanged diff context and fully deleted functions are excluded. Analyzed 3 functions across 2 files. (1 skipped: 1 unsupported.)

Resolution

Write docstrings for the functions missing them to satisfy the coverage threshold.

Add a test for the settings-file read error.

A regression to “team settings file” would pass the changed tests. Add a fleet configuration with a nonexistent settings.path and assert that the error contains “failed to read fleet settings file”.

Wrap the fleet settings read error.

When os.ReadFile fails, %v formats the error without wrapping it. Use %w to preserve the underlying error.
