example: Fetch client example showing auth for app router #45

Open

Description

@moonmeister
  • Basic Authentication Template
    • Login/Logout components
    • Protected route wrapper
    • Token management utilities - refresh token
    • Error boundary components

Notes

  • This covers per-user login (visitors sign in via Headless Login or JWT). For site-level credentials, where the server talks to WordPress as a single service account with an Application Password, see example: Apollo Client with Application Passwords (server-side) #44. Each README should point to the other.
  • The existing examples/next/apollo-authentication covers per-user login for the Pages Router with Apollo; this is the App Router + fetch counterpart.

    Is this still needed right now as we have https://github.com/wpengine/hwptoolkit/tree/main/examples/next/client-app-router-fetch-data? AFAIK Apollo app router is still experimental.

    @josephfusco I think it was mislabeled. I changed it to the Fetch API since that is what's still needed; another ticket doesn't seem to exist for it.
