Note
Low Risk
Documentation-only edits with no product or code changes; readers lose explicit lockout-prevention guidance for SSO-only admin scenarios.
Overview
Removes operational guidance that clusters should keep at least one admin user created in Redis Software (not via JIT) because JIT-provisioned admins could lose roles when
redisRoleMappingis missing or invalid. In SAML SSO (
saml-sso.md), the NOTE after the 8.2.6 sign-in role-sync behavior is deleted entirely. In the 8.2.6-25 release notes, the SAML SSO role mappings on upgrade pre-upgrade checklist is collapsed to a single requirement: the IdP must send validredisRoleMappingfor every JIT-provisioned user—the second bullet about a non-JIT admin is removed.Reviewed by Cursor Bugbot for commit ff6c7c9.
