I was just looking for the current status regarding:

... Formatting of files that contain mixed PHP and HTML is still considered unstable - please 
see open issues with the tag inline for details.

If you want to use the plugin in production, we recommend limiting its scope to pure PHP files.

It looks like some progress has been made but wondering how far a long it is/isn't?

    I highly doubt that status has changed much, mostly because it's 2025 and none of us use PHP that way anymore. Maybe look into prettier-plugin-twig or prettier-plugin-blade for something a little more sensible than raw PHP in HTML!
