fs.rmSync('a.思') crash without throw

What steps will reproduce the bug?

When fs.rmSync('a.思') exists files with extension containing Chinese chars, node 24 will crash without throw. node 23 seems OK.

How often does it reproduce? Is there a required condition?

Everytime

What is the expected behavior? Why is that the expected behavior?

Delete the file normally.

What do you see instead?

Process exited with code 3221226505.

Additional information

Maybe there's a problem with how v24 parses the extension?
The response of direct crash is similar to #56049.

I'm not sure is this related but rmSync() can't delete if file name contain unicode in it.

Confirm problem on Windows 11.

Step to reproduce:

Create text file that contain any unicode in the name. For example: ก on any drive such as D:\ก.
Copy and paste code below and run.

'use strict';

import fs from 'node:fs';
import path from 'node:path';

const fileName = 'ก';

const srcFile = path.resolve('D:\\', fileName);
console.debug(srcFile);
fs.rmSync(srcFile);

if (fs.existsSync(srcFile)) {
    console.debug('file still exists.');
} else {
    console.debug('file deleted.');
}

Result: file cannot delete.
It can be deleted with unlinkSync() but not rmSync().

OS: Windows 11
Node: 24.5.0 (last v checked 24.8.0)
Npm: 11.5.2

It used to work perfectly on Node 22.x.x.

I'm not sure is this issue related? ( #58768 )
