This feature will add specific algorithm support to the upcoming recursive readdir feature I'm working on in #41439
What is the feature you are proposing to solve the problem?
The api should be extended to include a new parameter to the
optionsobject with the type:I've already stubbed out tests for this feature based on the early work in #41439 see this fork-branch for more details:
