- Line 741: Update the size-limit comparison in the deserialization path to
avoid narrowing the int64_t limit to size_t on 32-bit targets. Compare size and
the rounded int64_t limit using a type that preserves both values, while keeping
the existing limit and rejection behavior.

Fixed in 4981b69. Both sides of the serialized-size limit comparison now use uint64_t, avoiding truncation of the signed 64-bit limit on 32-bit size_t. The actual before/after guard expressions were compiled and executed in native 32-bit and 64-bit C++ programs. The original expression incorrectly rejects SIZE_MAX on 32-bit; the corrected guard accepts those representable sizes and preserves the signed-limit overflow rejection on 64-bit. This is native guard validation, not a full bit_vector or DeepLake extension build. git diff --check passed. |
